A 220,000 sq ft corporate headquarters in Phoenix that refused to be another energy liability. Triple-glazed passive solar envelope, geothermal HVAC, and a rooftop photovoltaic array that sells back to the grid on every clear afternoon from October through May.

Tierra Alta Housing Block

Cross-laminated timber panels sourced from certified Pacific Northwest forests. The entire superstructure was erected in 14 weeks. Depot No. 7 Conversion

A 1940s rail depot warehouse — structurally sound, thermally catastrophic. Mesa retained every original steel truss, added a continuous air barrier, triple-layered the insulation, and converted the loading bays into a public market hall. The embodied carbon saved by not demolishing the existing structure was equivalent to planting 4,200 mature trees.
